It's an incredible challenge to boil down the multifaceted Emika into a few words, her 2011 self-titled debut album introduced a welcome change of pace in the male dominated electronic producer world. Her lyrical frankness and unique, underrepresented musicality led her to sold out shows as the opening performer for Amon Tobin's ISAM tour where armed with a minimal live electronic setup, she mesmerized audiences with dark, sexy vocals and heavy, merciless bass and beats which brought a fresh taste of the Berlin club scene into live concert venues across North America.

With an unflinching work ethic, Emika has continued to write and play shows from London to Turkey to Russia where she has amassed a loyal following of fans who rally for more of her alluring female power. Her new single "Searching" answers the call, with a bittersweet, r&b inflected production of swirling darkness, razor-edged chords and lyrics of confronting bad faith head on. The song's climax brings to mind a woman rallying her darkest powers or as Emika puts it, 'a song about deception, feeling the intentional deceit of someone close to you, and sucking the lies out from their eyes.'

You can expect a range of emotions, darker tones and creativity on her new album Dva. As a composer, producer and mixer, Emika is quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with and a master of her own personal expression.
